Alan S. Apt – Founder/CEO
Alan Apt, CCIM, ALC, GRI, President of Lansdale PA based APTCOR COMMERCIAL, REALTORS, is the company founder and chief executive since its inception in 1979. He is a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Over this time, Apt has arranged nearly a thousand transaction sides of sales, leases, exchanges, business sales, management agreements, construction and credit facilities for clients with volume in excess of $700,000,000. Apt is one of the most recognized brokers of commercial real estate in Philadelphia metro region and has been active in broad sectors of the industry including brokerage, leasing, land development, build to suit, investment, property management, valuation, ad valorem taxation, consulting, business brokerage, financing and exchanging. Particularly notable is his cognition of highest and best use analysis and algorithmic approach to providing solutions and maximizing value in real estate transactions. Mr. Apt is also a co-founding member, investor and officer in Eagle Property Management, LLC, Lansdale; and is partner/member in various real estate development and investment companies active in owning, managing and developing commercial real estate throughout the Philadelphia region.
Apt is a member of the Tri County Suburban Association of Realtors, and a former charter member in TriState Realtors Commercial Alliance with Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, having served on the Board of Directors from 1992-98, chairing the Commercial Information System (Commercial MLS) Committee (92’-96’) and the Standard Forms Committee (96’-98’) during that period. He has been a member of the National Association of Realtors since 1973 and the statewide Pennsylvania Association of Realtors (PAR) since 1973. A Graduate of the PA Realtors Institute (GRI) Apt has been very active with PAR in representing the interests of the commercial practitioner, serving as a member and Past Chair on the Commercial, Industrial and Investment Committee; Legislative Committee member and Chair of the Commercial Standard Forms Subcommittee. He also is a member of the CCIM Institute, designated as a “CCIM-Certified Commercial/Investment Member,” certificate #4496 since 1992, the PA-NJ-DE CCIM Chapter where he served as Chair of the Public Relations and Candidate Guidance committee from 1993-94’; a member of the Realtors Land Institute (RLI) as of 2005 who awarded him the ALC – “Accredited Land Consultant” designation, certificate #1120.
Mr. Apt is also a member Montgomery County Historical Society. He served on the Board of Directors of Community Housing Services (CHS), a Montgomery County based 501C-3 housing agency providing self-sufficiency and housing initiatives to low and moderate-income clients from 2002-2006, and as a former elected Director of the Norristown Area School District from 1976-1979. He is a founding organizer, investor and director of the Victory Bank, a State and Federal Reserve chartered, independent community bank based in Limerick, PA.
Robert J. Kerns-Account Executive
Bob Kerns, account executive, has been with Aptcor Commercial Realtors for three years as a real estate professional. He received his BA from La Salle University in 1969 and his JD from Villanova University in 1972. Kerns practiced law for forty five years in the Metro Philadelphia Area and specialized in real estate development, zoning, municipal, and condemnation before beginning his career in commercial real estate.
Kerns participated in the analysis, purchase, and plan approval on hundreds of parcels of real estate. He brings this expertise to every type of transaction at Aptcor with its focus on commercial and industrial sales and development.
Bob spent six years as the Chairman of the Montgomery County Board of Viewers for eminent domain matters. During this time, he focused on real estate development and environmental issues.
Franklin J. Platt-Broker/Property Manager
Franklin J. Platt, CCIM, comes to the table with over 21 years of experience in commercial real estate sales, leasing, and property management. A CCIM designee, he has been a licensed broker since 1992 and understands all aspects of commercial real estate. Platt has been a property manager for over 150 Bank of America locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, totalling over 800,000 square feet of office and retail space. He has also provided property management services for mixed-use commercial properties and 55+ communities for high net-worth family interests, developers and institutional investors.
Frank is comfortable working with people on many levels. He deals regularly with tenants, code officials, brokers, lawyers, engineers, contractors and property managers. He has dealt with numerous zoning and building officials in the fitting-out of tenant space for retail, medical and office use, and is experienced in major building renovation and retro-fit projects
Gail A. Yoder–Broker/Agent
Gail has been a licensed Real Estate Broker for over 40 years, previously having worked with Re/Max Realty Plus. She has been a life long resident of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Gails community involvement includes current membership of the Board of Carousel at Pottstown and she was previously a member of Montgomery County Revitalization Board.
Brad is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of PA focused solely on Commercial Real Estate. He has been an Account Executive with APTCOR COMMERCIAL, REALTORS since 2008 serving clients in the sale, purchase or lease of commercial properties. Brad also is an experienced Business Broker and provides current and potential business owners with services including, business sales, acquisitions, valuations and financing.
Brad has brought a diverse business background to APTCOR that includes over 20 years of experience in sales, sales management and marketing with a Fortune 500 company on a national basis. He also personally manages a several million dollar residential and commercial real estate investment portfolio. In addition, Brad has entrepreneurial and real-world business ownership experience through starting, growing and managing a small business in Limerick, PA with his late wife, Lisa.
On a personal note, Brad has lived in Pennsylvania all of his life and in Montgomery County for two decades, He has three children, and resides in Royersford. He is very active with many youth sports organizations and community business groups.

Amanda O'Brien–Administrative Assistant
Amanda has 8 years of experience in the Residential and Commercial Real Estate Industry. Amanda's daily responsibilities were Office Manager, Transaction Coordinator, Listing Coordinator and Bookkeeper. She also took over most communication between the Realtors and their clients to keep the realtors on the road doing what they do best, SELLING! Amanda previously worked for RE/MAX Elite's The Joseph Bograd Team, a very well known residential real estate company in Bucks County PA and Philadelphia County. Over the years she would also work at nights the service industry as a bartender and a server at Blue Bell & Blue Stone Country Club & The Pineville Tavern (All very well known establishments in Montgomery County & Bucks County, PA. After the shut down due to COVID 19, and the very long time which she was unemployed, Amanda stumbled upon the open job opportunity at APTCOR. She began in Early April 2021, Currently Amanda is completing her credit online in order to secure her Residential & Commercial Real Estate Salesperson License in 2021.
